Flat Foot Surgery
We perform minimally invasive flatfoot surgery during outpatient visits at our state-of-the-art surgical suite. This eliminates the expense and inconvenience of going to the hospital. Our surgical suite features:
- CT fluoroscopy machine
- Complete sterility
- Full surgical theater
- Less cost than a hospital
- Inhouse x-rays
We make tiny incisions during minimally invasive surgery, so the treatment requires less healing time and causes minimal scarring. It is performed under local anesthetic and has lower morbidity than conventional open surgery.
Some surgeries may still need to be done at a hospital. But we routinely perform flatfoot surgery in our minimally invasive surgery suite at our office.
Flatfoot is a condition in which the foot’s arch is depressed, making it difficult to walk due to ankle stress. Some symptoms may include:
- Pain around the heel or arch area,
- Trouble standing on the tiptoe,
- Swelling around the inside of the ankle,
- Flat look to one or both feet,
- Having your shoes feel uneven when worn,
- Shin splints,
- Knee and lower back pain.
Dr. Ramos offers minimally invasive repair of your flatfoot using a specialized implant called HyProCure. This FDA-approved solution can eliminate or reduce symptoms from misaligned feet.
For cases that are not responsive to other methods, surgery can be a permanent solution. We can perform a heel spur resection in the comfort of our surgical suite.
