Hammertoe Surgery

We perform minimally invasive hammertoe surgery during outpatient visits at our state-of-the-art surgical suite. You can eliminate the expense and inconvenience of going to the hospital for hammertoe treatment. Our surgical suite features:

  • Inhouse x-rays
  • Complete sterility
  • Full surgical theater
  • CT fluoroscopy machine
  • Convenience
  • Less cost than a hospital

We make tiny incisions during minimally invasive hammertoe surgery, so the procedure requires less healing time and leaves minimal scarring. It is performed under local anesthetic and has lower morbidity than conventional open surgery.

Hammertoe Surgery
Some surgeries may still need to be done at a hospital. But we routinely perform hammertoe surgery in our minimally invasive surgery suite at our office.
Hammertoe can be caused by foot mechanics, your gait, poorly fitted shoes, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, trauma to the foot, heredity, or a cerebral vascular accident. Pain and reduced mobility of the toes, deformities, calluses, and corns are all symptoms of a hammertoe.
For serious cases where toes have become inflexible and rigid, surgery can help. We would relieve pressure by realigning the tendons and bones to straighten the toes.
